Dean Buckley

Chair of the Nomination Committee. Prior to his appointment as Chair, Dean was a Member of Audit and Risk Committee.

Dean joined the Board in 2021 and was appointed as Chair on 1 January 2024. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. Prior to that, he held several positions at HSBC Holdings plc, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Asset Management UK & Middle East. He also held senior fund management positions at Prudential Portfolio Managers.

Dean is chair of Fidelity Special Values and Evelyn Partners Fund Solutions and a Non-Executive Director of Baillie Gifford & Co Ltd. He was also previously a Non-Executive Director of Saunderson House Limited. He was also Chair of the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and Senior Independent Director of JPMorgan Asia Growth & Income plc.

Dean is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
